CUSTOM DESIGNED. CUSTOM BUILT.
Everything begins with a design tailored to fit the university’s needs. The EdR team listens to various stakeholders within the college and surveys prospective residents while working with a local architectural firm to create a design that will surpass the university’s goals for many years to come. Our construction professionals participate in the design process to ensure construct-ability at the estimated cost and then monitor progress in the field to ensure schedules and budgets are met, all with sustainability at the forefront. Experienced, savvy EdR project managers communicate throughout the entire life of the construction project to ensure each stakeholder remains aligned with our goals to create and deliver high‐quality collegiate housing solutions. RE-IGNITE YOUR CAMPUS
Revitalization is our specialty. EdR has led two of the largest on-campus revitalization developments in the U.S. We help remove and replace obsolete “dormitories” with attractive apartment-style communities or residence halls that enhance your campus as well as your students’ college experience. We deliver the advanced technology capabilities and sustainable features that students demand. Indiana University of Pennsylvania EdR created 3,516 beds ― 1,084 beds in 2009 and 596 beds in 2010 ― that replaced obsolete dormitories with suite-style accommodations that are attracting more students. Through the successful public-private partnership, obsolete dormitories were systematically replaced with high-tech, living-learning residence halls that include 45,000 square feet dedicated to university departments. The new residence halls have been credited with greatly increasing applications and admissions: IUP’s enrollment increased by more than 1,000 students after project completion in 2010. University of Kentucky Today, EdR is partnering with the University of Kentucky to develop and complete the largest on-campus housing revitalization in history. EdR is systematically demolishing and replacing the majority of the campus’ 6,000 beds and will increase UK housing to approximately 9,000 beds.
And our developments are built to last with long-term maintainability which means long-term satisfaction for the resident and the university. Our goal is to manage our developments for long-term gains. EdR uses durable, quality production methods and materials in construction. Then our EdR teams in the field and the home office maintain our communities through the years to ensure they are safe and efficient as well as attractive and comfortable for our residents.
